We’ve got a few last minute touches, but I think WE’RE DONE! My mother-in-law is buying some wooden play food to go with it, and we’ve got the stainless steel pots and pans, utensils, apron, potholders, etc. The silver “coils” I painted on are really bothering me (they’re not perfect, and the perfectionist in me is going crazy). I may try to touch them up, or maybe I’ll just let it go for now. :)
Here’s a break-down of what we bought to make this kitchen set. I’ll try to remember prices (or come back later and add them in).
End table (flea market find): $10
Backboard and wood to make the shelf (from my dad): free
Handle for “oven door”: $3
3 knobs: $6
Stainless steel bowl for sink (Ollie’s): $2
3 hooks (Surplus City): $6
Faucet (Suplus City): $10
Fabric for curtain and apron (JoAnne Fabrics): $5
Dowel rod for curtain (JoAnne Fabrics): $0.95
Paint (2 samples from Lowes): $5
Plates and bowls (WalMart and Target): $8
Cups (WalMart): $2
Stainless Steel Pots/Pans and Utensils (KidKraft): $15
Picture frame (Walmart): $5
Hinges/magnet for oven door (Lowes): $5
